Seriously, I'm too lazy to go that route. If the Company wants to restrict the ways in which their customers can contact them, its their problem .
Whether I'd do it would depend on how important the issue was to me. But old fashioned letters still might get attention where email would not.

The only time I'll probably be willing to go to "great lengths" as you would call it would be if I Really, really loved the book, or more likely really needed that in eBook format.
Precisely. But before companies can address customer concerns, they need to know that have them.

The problem that often crops up is that it is often much more difficult to find out if a legitimate eBook version is available or not, especially when Darknet Versions are easily available.

That's what I really like about Baen, that when you search for one of the books they carry, the Legal version is one of the first ones to pop up, making finding a darknet version 'inconvenient' . So the only people who are probably going to keep on searching are the ones who

a) Can't afford it or
b) Won't buy it

Both categories which will not buy one now anyway, so should not really be considered a lost sale.
Agreed, and one reason why I think Baen is very savvy in what they're doing.

Thanks. If you can get the ball rolling, more people can also contribute, and actually make Lazy people like me start sending letters.
Hip deep in other stuff at the moment, but on my list.
