There are too many possibilities.
First, try to put a similar load onto the computer using other programs, and/or do similar things. If Calibre crashes on converting books, then convert some WAV or FLAC music to MP3. If Calibre crashes on fast window resizing, do the same with other programs.
Do these programs crash as well?
If not, remove Calibre from the computer, including the folder in "C:\Users\Your-Username\AppData\Roaming\calibre". Reinstall the program (without plugins at first, and then try again.
I have no problems with Calibre on my computer, except when I install the Favorites plugin. Then it starts crashing. It doesn't do so for others; it could be that I use another plugin, that makes the combination of Favorites/Other crash. I haven't researched it, because I don't want to give up any of the plugins I use now.
