Collections are synced through the cloud, not through the application. Not sure how Cloud Collections will handle it, but before that, at least, you will go to archive/cloud view on the device, click the menu and select the option Import Collections.
It will list all devices/apps that have/had collections and offer to download their collections data from the servers.
