Back on the topic of the PW3 (which doesn't yet exist as of time this was posted)...
I recently upgraded from my 7 year old Sony Reader PRS-505 w/customized firmware to a Paperwhite 2. The PW2 has the superior interface, screen and light. Pretty much perfect right now (after jailbreaking/customizing of course).
The PW3 would likely not be anything more than incremental in terms of hardware and the software might be backported as Amazon is apt to do (PW1 got the PW2 features in a recent update). So I'll likely be happy with what I have but still like to see the industry innovate in terms of features as well as refinements and bug fixes, etc.
