Android is OK, you can install many programs that work OK.
The battery last less, I would say battery life might be halved. I kill any application that is not necessary but it last less than Nickel.
I wonder why. I also have a Nook ST with Android and it seems to have much more battery time.
However, if you want to use other programs to play simple games, read comics, etc. it is quite handy. Also you have great choice of ereader programs (Cool Reader might be the best, at least the best looking one).
Other go programs for Android (I dont know if they work for Android 2.2):
Godroid, Elygo, Silver Star, dg囲碁, Gobandroid HD, Juego GO Gratis...
