I tried to use the pockets on my Nook Color case sometimes, but either things would be too bulky or not secure enough. None of my current cases have pockets, and I don't miss them. I carry a "tactical field bag" (*cough*manpurse*cough*) much of the time, and/or stash things in my car.
My KPW case has a handstrap, which I don't use much either, but it seems more practical than a pocket.
