Well, the bad news is no coverage for Klingon or other traditional edged weapons, but the silver lining is that the electromagnetic field can be thrown up as a low power shield for Romulan disruptors or as a low power tractor beam so you no longer need carry your device in a pocket. It should be noted that Kobo claims to be in no way responsible for the success or failure of such usage and recommends a full charge prior to activation.(I personally recommend "ducking" or surrounding oneself with people wearing red as proven methods which have served me well.)
