In essence, all rumors are unsubstantiated, no? The very nature of the word "rumor" means that there's no proof. And it's perfectly ok to point out that you don't think this particular rumor will come true. I'd agree with you; it's a long shot. But to do so repeatedly and as if we are children who need to be reminded of our naivety is insulting.
I think the fact that this UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR has been put out there by another avenue other than MobileRead, it's free-game to discuss. There will be a Paperwhite 3 at some point. If you don't want to talk about it, then don't.
