It's seems that PoohBear makes the same mistake that Wile E. Coyote makes when it comes to ACME products: He didn't fully read the label/instructions.
An example: Wile E. Coyote buys ACME Earthquake Pills and feeds one to the Roadrunner. It's only after it appears to not work on the Roadrunner and he has consumed the entire bottle in disgust that he finally looks at that label: It says the pills don't work on roadrunners
. Wile E. proceeds to find out that the pills work VERY well in accordance with the instructions

By the way, who says that aluminum will shield you from mind control? It seems like it would actually make you more subject to it since it would act as an antenna.
