fidvo - I think the OP said the EPUB with the embedded video was from the Fruit Farm, can their EPUBs can be unzipped into anything useful or do they zap all your RAM if you do
Same caveat applies to my Readium suggestion - don't imagine the Cupertino Crowd abide by EPUB3 rulz, which what the Readium addon for Chrome claims it can do.
