a complication

Testing things in the command line I successfully converted this:

Bell.Gregg.-.Front.Row[07.12.2013].epub

to a mobi.

But not this:

Bell,Gregg.-.Jamie's.Gamble[06.18.2013].epub

The command line gave no indication why it would not convert the latter, just giving me this:

<

But I experimented and when I removed the comma after "Bell" (in the latter) it converted.

Nearly all of my files are like the latter (with the commas). And I have them stored in several different places. (It could create quite a logistical hassle to be renaming all those files.)

So it seems Linux doesn't like commas. Would that be accurate?

And any ideas for overcoming this or should I just get to work changing over all the commas to periods?

Thanks.
