Thanks eschwartz but bogged again. This (see 001) is the only way I know to access the bin folder. And when I tried to copy and paste the Kindlegen file it wouldn't paste (into bin, that is).
And 002 shows what home/gregory/ looks like (in that there's no bin folder there.)
On the positive side I was able to extract the zip file into the Downloads folder.
