As an interesting side note at the time he was on trial they were making the movie "Independence Day" and I understand that the cast was watching news coverage of the trial in between takes.
I imagine if anyone over here in the U.S. tried what this gentleman did (the texter not O.J.) they might find themselves in court on one charge or another. I admire his ingenuity though.
