That would certainly seem to be the case.
The copyright of the autobiography in the US is murky. The previously unpublished bits are clearly public domain, as unpublished works in the US get life+70 and nothing else.
The status of the previously published bits is the question. It seems likely that these are still in copyright in the US, until at least 2020.
