I am a retired Travel Agent with lots of time on my hands so I discovered Kindle, which is the new love of my life. I also discovered Calibre which is at present my pet hate.

The reason is I have loaded Calibre with lots of books and last week had a new motherboard fitted which is 64bit not the 32bit as before.

So I have been reloading deleting messing about, discovered that Calibre has changed a lot of my books to Mobi file not just Mobi when I click on to read I get Adobe Reader advising me it cannot read because the file may be corrupted.

Can anyone HELP PLEASE.

Anything would be appreciated but please in plain English at 77 jargon does not scan very well.

You machine has incorrectly associated Mobi files with Adobe Reader instead of Kindle for PC. You just need to change this, but a Windows chappie will need to tell you how if it's not obvious.
