They want users to only buy books from them. I can't see them ever realising KF8 to other users, and that's effectively what allowing Send to Kindle to use them would mean. Also I doubt they'll ever allow user fonts, if anything they are locking the Kindle software up tighter, allowing minimal customisation, not relaxing it.
