Well the World War II stories go away after the first 6 books or so. But then she starts with story arcs and relationships that do not get a HEA within one book (or ever for some characters
)
I gave up on Brockmann after she built up two characters as being a romance (had them listed as a couple in the polls she used to have on her website, newsletters, etc) and then gave them each a complete personality change and paired them up with other characters who also underwent massive personality changes. And then when readers complained, she said we'd read the books wrong and accused us of being homophobic (even though the book in question was not her m/m entry in the series
). She also decided even though her characters are supposed to be Navy SEALs she couldn't write about the Iraq War or about you know, them actually being members of the military
I donated all of my books in the series to the library and deleted my digital versions.
/rant (sorry she's an author who completely betrayed reader trust)
