Okay, I call witchcraft. The steps I took on the 26th will no longer get me into diags. I can only get it to boot to the "Software Update" screen.
Do any of you want the challenge of trying to debrick this unit (and posting the results here for the rest of the community)? How many of you have a serial cable for the Kindle Touch? I'll have to talk to my friend and ask if he's okay with me shipping it off to one of you. I'm pretty sure I'm at my wit's end with this device. I have no idea why it won't respond the way you guys say it will. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity... I fear that's just what'll happen if I keep on attempting this with no progress!
