It took a while - first I had a 40mb download to update the Reader software; then when I connected the PRS-T1 to the computer, there was a 100mb firmware download; then the transfer of the software to the reader.

Where the Sony store buttons were on the Reader software and on the PRS-T1 there are now Kobo store buttons.

When I tried the Kobo store button on the reader, I get a screen that says "the Kobo bookstore is coming to your ereader! Until then, please shop for ebooks on kobo.com with your computer, phone or tablet. Sync your ereader to add any new purchases to your library".
