To be clear I "purchased" the free book from the relevant section of the website. There weren't any pre-loaded freebies or anything (other than the samples).
Just rechecked and no ribbons on the covers on mine, although on the bottom of the pages it does say "XX% of sample", but the sample goes on for 9 chapters on the 1st book which seems an overly big sample ! It took me awhile to find the end of the sample.

I realised you had downloaded a "Free" book. What I meant by freebie was a free copy of a full length book as a thankyou by Blinkbox for opening an account seeing how their book division is new.
