Love the back lists.
I read "An Arranged Marriage" back in 2009. There were some themes in it I didn't totally love, but overall it was so well into its time. I am actually reading the 2nd in that series right now coincidentally "An Unwilling Bride". I am about 44% in and the hero and the heroine are still trying to figure each other out. Heck, they don't even really like each other.
What I love about these books is some of the details that pertain to the time. After reading some more modern written historicals, its really nice to sink into the time and actually feel like you are there, rather than just modern people wearing costumes. Now don't get me wrong, I read and love those too. All in its right time. But I felt more like some deeper slower historical read. More meat I guess. I am having a hard time to find the right words. I feel like there are more layers to the people as the surroundings are part of the historical life.
I have no clue though why it took me from 2009 to today to read the next in that series though. I get side tracked so easy and there is shiny everywhere I guess.
