Actually the uProcessors used in eBook readers do not have sata on board. Instead they may have E Ink controller on board. There is no driving need for eSata since SD XC cards are arriving and are much cheaper and plenty fast while still being an external removable card. The micro SD XC can go to 128 Gig these days.
A tablet, however, is not an eBook reader although it can be used to read eBooks. I suspect that Android will have eSata at some point but it used ARM based processors, not Intel ones.
