I've recently purchased a Kobo Aura HD and am attempting to shift out of the Amazon ecosystem and opt for a more -- shall we say -- transparent experience with fewer and lower walls and wilder growth in my reading garden. This is the epub reader that I chose, but now I'm having a bit of an issue with layouts.
To begin with, titles just aren't as pretty as they are on the Kindle 3, but that's something that I can easily live with -- the rest of the experience, including my adventures with calibre, has been nice so far. I'm just having one infuriating problem...
If there's a paragraph that looks as though it would have gone past the end of the 'page', my Kobo leaves a large blank space at the bottom of the screen and then begins that paragraph once I turn the 'page'. I don't know if this only happens on side-loaded ebooks, as I only
have side-loaded ebooks at this stage (due to all my purchased coming from Amazon thus far).
It's very annoying. I'm not sure if it's a deal-breaker or not yet. I'm hoping there's an obvious setting I've ignored. Please help!
