I can't speak about the Kobo Glo since I don't own one, but I do own a GTab 2 7.0. IF you can get the GTab 2 7.0 for a good price AND you are tech savvy enough to root it (to remove some of the Samsung bloatware), I think you'll be pleased with it. It certainly doesn't have the greatest of specs (even when it was first released), but it is a solid little tablet.

After removing the bloatware from the GTab I was surprised and impressed by the performance.
