Okay checking in as real life was just too hectic and stressful for me to do it yesterday.

I bought 5 books last week. All 99 cents except the Blue Blood it was $2.99.

I read:

Holiday In Death by J.D. Robb (3 stars)
Midnight In Death by J.D. Robb (3 Stars)

Nine Lives by Sharon Sala (3 Stars): The thing is when you pick up a Sala book you never know what you're going to get. Unlike most authors she doesn't have a particular writing style other than her characters are going to be southern in some way. This could be due to the fact she claims she dreams her story in vivid color with dialogue. This series is well out there. It was entertaining but it didn't do it for me like her other books I've read and really liked alot. This one I had to suspend disbelief a few times to get through it.

I am reading:

The Defiant Hero by Suzanne Brockmann: This is another slow one. I am not sure this series is for me. I am really trying to give it another try after the first book I read last year. It seems that she is just not really good as writing page turners. She has these two stories going on in one book that really irritates me. This no way to build up suspense in my opinion.

Conspiracy In Death by J.D. Robb: Just started this one so not much to say yet. lol

I am listening to Rock Chick by Kristen Ashely which was a 5 star read for me when I read it in ebook. I love this book it's just so awesome! I love the narrator she picked. She really does bring Indy alive. I listen to it before bed as I try to get through another frustrating level of Candy Crush!

So Unwound by Lorelei James comes out today! Wheee! The sad part is the Audible narrator is not the same as the first book. This one is done by Luke Daniels who I think is more a reader than voice actor. So that means I will be paying a full $8 to read the ebook but hey today is also my 14th wedding anniversary so it's okay to splurge for this right? I tell myself it is. Money is really tight right now due to hubby missing work because he's been ill on and off so I feel guilty paying that much for a book but I will talk myself into it. I may have to only buy one book this week to keep the guilt down.
