Wireless Device Connection no longer working

After CC updated, I can no longer get my tablet to connect to Calibre. I found another thread on this forum (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=235803) and followed the suggestions there. When I ping from the laptop, I get no errors. When I pinged from the tablet, I have a message that says "3 packets transmitted, 0 received." I have no idea what to do next. The only thing that's changed recently (other than the CC update) is a new network name and password because the cable company had to fix a connection issue.

Any ideas on what I should be checking?

EDIT

I don't know if this helps, but the error message I get from the tablet just says "general -- unrecognized error."

The message from Calibre is:

calibre, version 1.28.0
ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device

Device responded with incorrect information
