Kobo is sometimes slow putting up new releases. I've found that generally published books come up first [and the more expensive the more usual it is they show up the same day as everyone else]. Indy publishers, it's hit or miss. I've waited days, weeks, months for a book to show up at Kobo, it just depends. If it's not up first thing in the morning, I'd check back at Kobo after 5 or 6pm EST that same day and sometimes it's there. Gee, this cold is messing with my head, does that make any sense? I hope so!
Kobo has gotten much, much better than in the early days. And if a book shows as available as a pre-order, those change to buy links right at midnight. Not sure if it's one time for all areas or if they calculate that based on your local time zone. I'm Eastern time and I've noticed it happens right on time for me.

A few times with Escape titles there was no date on the pre-order and it still showed as a pre-order a week after the title was supposed to be for sale. I emailed the publisher and they contacted Kobo about it and got it fixed. But if there is a date with the pre-order (i.e. Available on: 3/25/2014) I'm pretty sure the process is automated.

I have one book I want to buy on Tuesday which is a Samhain title. All the other Samahian titles for that day show as pre-orders except the one I want. Hoping it will still be available on Tuesday, but we'll see.
