Mini has easily removable outer back with the idea different color backs could be bought. This outer back also covers 4 screws holding inner back onto front and pin hole for resetting reader to factory firmware when used with on/off switch. Inner back also has normal plastic tabs that help hold inner back in place. Screws holding inner back looks to me makes the mini much more rigid than other Kobo readers.
