When Obama first took office, he fought hard to keep his Blackberry and was allowed to do so after some modifications. But that relationship may be coming to an end as the White House is currently testing Samsung and LG phones to replace the Blackberry. Obama recently asked about moving to an iPhone, but that idea was nixed because its OS lacks the flexibility to implement highly secure communications required of the White House.
It's interesting that when Obama leaves the White House, his emails related to official duties will be subject to the Presidential Records Act, but his strictly personal emails won't be.
This is viewed as a blow to Blackberry, even though they already have been rapidly losing market share for years.
