Search find behavior

Calibre when it finds something does not put the focus on what it found. This is a different behavior from Sigil. I have been editing it in connection with the spell check where I find two paragraph tags and I either replace or I want to insert a space. (This is in connection with a broken footnote. Either insert a period and space after the number, or if it is continuation of the footnote, I want to wipeout the two tags and put in a space to join the broken sentence.)

Calibre's behavior I had not noticed until today. Pushing the spacebar does not insert a space, but it jumps to the next find.

I rather not have to relocate the find in the editor with the mouse before I work with it.

This may be desirable behavior for some, I am reporting this so that others can give their point of view. There may be technical reasons as well.
