The general consensus is that a microfibre cloth will do the job safely. If it is just a few fingerprints then breathe on the screen and wipe with a dry microfibre cloth. If it is dirtier then use a barely dampened cloth. If you like, then you can use the stuff that opticians sell for cleaning spectacles, but this is not really necessary.

Microfibre cloths are sold in the cleaning aisle of most supermarkets, or in places where car cleaning products are sold.
