Hi, gang:
Ok, I'm on a quest. This is not to find a free font replacement, or anything like that; it's simply to FIND. THIS. FONT. I have spent over 10 hours looking. I've tried everything, from Identifont to you-name-it. I've looked at every sans serif and monospaced font at Ascender, and I've been through almost everything at Adobe.
I'm attaching an image of it. This is not IN the font on that webpage, trust me. It's a sprite, damn them. I want this font for the elegance of the lines. Look at that "G" in Guy; it's lovely. I'd really like to find this.
Yes, it has occurred to me that it's custom-made; that someone took something like Gill Sans or one of the others and modified it, but...the sleekness of the upswing on that G doesn't
feel like a hacked/modded font. it feels like a font made by a real foundry.
Here's a list of what it ISN'T:
- Futura Complete'
- Museo Sans
- News Gothic Extended
- Report Font Family
- Endurance Pro Complete
- Gill Sans Complete
- Avenir Next Complete
- Neue Helvetica
Here's a list of close, but no cigar:
- Polarband Family (by Typodermic, FRONT is my current choice if real font is not found);
- Astoria Complete
- Camphor 1
- Linotype Brewery Complete
- Mahsuri Sans
- Neuzeit Office Soft Rounded, and,
- Skirt by Typodermic
At the moment, I'm closest, IIRC, to using either Skirt Light or Polarband. I don't remember quite clearly, because I compiled that list at 4:00 a.m., after about...6 hours straight of looking at fonts, after 4 hours earlier in the day.
Anyone recognize it? I'm asking here because it occurs to me that this might be a typeface not that common in the US, but perhaps more common in Europe. (It supports the breve e, and the website upon which I found it has a European base).
Help greatly appreciated.
