Even though I really don't like TV or movies, I'm looking forward to this one!
The Jamie they cast is perfect!

And about selling rights to the wrong person, I believe this happened to Kelley Armstrong with Bitten. They are basically re-writing the series - she has no say, and she blogged about it. There are a number of series that I hope never make it to screen, because I don't think they could be done justice.
