I have my router set up so the 2.5 GHz and 5GHz have separate SSID's but are bridged so that they are accessible to all devices no matter with one the device connects to, i.e. a device on the 2.5 GHz can talk to a device on the 5GHz. My guest networks are not bridged when I have them and are not accessible from the main network.
