The percentage of books which are optioned vs the percentage of movies/TV shows that are actually produced is not a very high ratio. Lots of books get optioned, very few actually get made into movies/TV shows.

The rights for the In Death books reverted back to Nora years ago and she still has them for sale. Personally, I am glad Mel Gibson's production company couldn't decide on a script. I hope the books are never made into films or a TV series as I don't think the main characters would be easy to cast. Plus TPTB would probably water down Eve's character too much to make her more feminine and likeable. **Shudder**
