Wait a minute, I think I have a solution! At least I
think I do. LOL It almost seems a little too easy. Surely one if us would've thought of it already?
We know that once a non-amazon file passes through the server, it gets 'coded' for Whispersync. And these files don't have DRM, correct? So they aren't restricted to a specific kindle, right?
So then what if we plug the Kindle device (that already
has the 'whispersync supported' file) into the computer and grab
that file from the device and manually drag it into the K4PC/K4Mac folder?
As long as the file passed through Amazon's server, it shouldn't really matter
how it gets into K4PC/K4Mac, as long as it was coded. Right?
It seems so simple that I feel like I must be forgetting something. Like suddenly thinking you can time-travel, and then realizing you don't have a Flux Capacitor, LoL.
If that's the case, please forgive my lapse of brain function!
I don't have K4PC anymore, so I can't test it. Can someone try it and see if it works? Just copy the converted file from the device and drag it into K4PC and let us know if it syncs.
