Of course we can
manually drag the non-amazon files into K4PC ourselves. (called side-loading) But the reading progress won't sync across your devices unless the file passes through amazon's server.
And they can't be "downloaded" to your computer from the website either. Only real Amazon books can. The action button for non-amazon books only has 2 options: "delete from library" and "deliver to my..." And the deliver option only allows you to choose a kindle device or mobile app. Not the K4PC or K4Mac version.
So the
only way to get a non-amazon book into the PC/Mac version is by side-loading. And side-loaded books aren't supported by Whispersync.
