Slice down from the pointy end about 1/8" from middle, riding along the pit. Do this on both sides. Then take one side and
score in a diagonal criss-cross pattern of about 1/2" wide. Then holding the ends, turn inside out so it looks like
this! You can easily cut away the flesh with a spoon, or gnaw it off.
$1,000 is dirt cheap for the type of aids I like. Four-program, directional mics, and user-programmable. Brand names sell these for $4,000...
