I'd just bought an iPad mini, I doubt I'd buy another Kindle Ereader unless something happens to either my existing Paperwhite or my Kobo Aura. I will always need an e-ink ereader but I am shying away from Amazon now, the devices and software is far to locked down for me as I don't buy my books from Amazon.
