Hmmm, I enjoy reading Dystopic YA mainly because it is more realistic unlike some stories, be it a book or a television show, which always depict a happy ending and a light and bright plot. For example, like what the article posted by the OP said, the main characters are flawed in some aspects in which we, not only young adults, could relate to.
