I like the narrator of the audiobooks. I listened to the first one and have read 2-4. I have the audiobooks for 6-8 and will probably listen to those instead of reading. Of course, audiobook narration is intensely personal. If you think you might not like the narrator's style, you should listen to a sample or get it from the library.
I liked the first book but I LOVED the second one. The secondary characters add so much, and book 2 was great for getting to know them more.
