I'm hoping someone has an idea on how I can save some time. I'm at a loss.
I was gifted a
large Calibre library, and would like to merge it with my existing library. I can do a standard merge, no problem, but unfortunately, the person who donated the library to me, added extra folders and books to the Calibre library folder without using Calibre, so these wouldn't be picked up by the merge since they wouldn't be in the metadata database. From what I can see, they put multiple books per folder, and single books per folder, without being consistent.

If the library wasn't so large, I'd go folder by folder & deal with the inconsistencies as I go and forget about doing a merge. This being the size it is, I'd like to ask for some advice on how I could deal with this without spending the large amount of time trying to locate those books not in the metadata database after a merge and load those individually or going folder by folder. Any ideas? All's I've come up with is going folder by folder to load the books, and that's got me a little intimidated by the time it would take. Any ideas would be appreciated because I'm fresh out..
Thanks
