The first one really isn't that good and the only way I got through it is I told myself I had to see why Jill Shalvis holds Roarke at one of the top heroes on her list. I am going to go back through and skim the Eve & Roarke scenes from Book one because I don't remember much of how they fell in love as I said it was boring and I think my brain didn't process some of it. The second one is so much better! I'd say if you are not hooked by book 4 then the series isn't for you.

I don't remember much at all about how they got together in the 1st book either. Just there was an investigation and he was a suspect. I think. In book two does it give a bit of background?
You know what I like about this thread is not only the deals (I really don't need anymore books!), but the conversation about books. You find new authors that way and also realize some books are not for you. Fun and helpful. I don't contribute much, because I am sort of old school with the romances and read other genres too, but I read this thread
every day. And I love the book chat. And I am going to give book 2 of In Death a shot. Think I even have it.
Auntykatkat, how much fun! I do like Julia Quinn's books. And the one or two of Eloisa James I have read. I haven't read any of Jill Shalvis. For them all to be there at one time. Wow!
