Kepubs, no matter the source, use a per-chapter page numbering that changes with font size and other settings. It is a count of the number of screens.

There is an option to change kepubs to per book page numbering. From memory, if this is used, the number of pages doesn't change with font size. I don't know if it uses the Adobe method or something else.
