@chunchunchun: Does the bold/italic/bolditalic styling look consistent in M7 (mobi) files? I'm a bit in the dark when it comes to styling with CJK fonts, so I can't really say much more. Maybe the metadata on your custom font is weird? Try with another one to check?

Or you simply might need to be a bit more devious in your FC config, like the special serif/sans cases. You'd have to check how Amazon handle the CJK fonts in their config.

I originally put 4 fonts in fontlink/font: regular/bold/italic/bolditalic style of one font family.(4 font files)
I removed three of them, only left the regular one, now the bold appear like regular, the bolditalic appear like italic.

will study the FC config...
