Wait, do you have an amazon.com account from the days before amazon.ca that you didn't change over? Maybe that makes some sort of difference?? But the UK part still seems unusual.

All my kindle books are from Amazon.com.
I buy physical books, DVDs, gadget cases etc from Amazon.ca, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.
I just tested Amazon.co.uk for Kindle books and it said "Kindle titles for your country are not available at Amazon.co.uk. Please shop for Kindle titles at Amazon.com."
My Amazon account was for Amazon.ca, my first purchase was at Amazon.ca. When I started buying kindle books, I bought them from Amazon.com. At that time, Amazon.ca has kindle books but not the Kindle device. Currently, I can buy kindle books from either Amazon.com or Amazon.ca.
Do you mean to say your Amazon.ca account does not let you buy kindle books from Amazon.com?
