Ok. I see it.

Kobo should just switch to Amazon's business model where there is a Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.in and give people the freedom to choose where to buy their ebooks.

It is a profitable business, each softcopy of the epub costs nothing, the more epubs downloaded, the higher the revenue, even if it is at 90% off. Maybe that is why Kobo did not stop people from "traveling".
