There is no perfect automated solution for what you want. You can use a calibre conversion to remove all text-align css entries by entering text-align in the Convert - Look&Feel - Filter Style - Other CSS Properties box, but there will be collateral damage of all centre- and right-alignment disappearing as well. The only way to remove selectively is the way you've been doing it.
