Yes, I love my Sony 505 and have never had problems loading books onto it. I use an old version of Sony's ereader software (the one it originally came with), this causes some issues but makes it easy to load books to the reader; otherwise you can use Calibre, which
is a bit more techie.
The only real issue with the 505 is the amount of time it takes to 'format' a book - when that circular thing spins. It's much slower than modern readers, but more elegant imho, and really low-tech compared, for example, with my kindle PW2.
