A little late checking in for last week.

I bought 4 books so not bad. All 99 cents I believe.

I read:

Cry No More by Linda Howard (4.5 stars) I loved it even though I didn't find it a ugly cry book like many said it was I guess I couldn't emotionally connect with the characters or had already figured out what was going to happen. Diaz though is awesome! I really liked him. Probably because he remind me a bit of Ranger.

Death Angel by Linda Howard (2.5 Stars) The first half of the book I thought was 5 star worthy but then you get to the middle and it just goes super bizarre. I knew from the blurb there would have to be a jump in the book and I thought it would be sooner and alot farther than 7 months. This book had so much potential but after the middle it just got weird and jumble.

Snatched by Pamela Buford (DNF,1 Star) I got about 70% in and could take no more this one of the strangest books I have read. It's screwball comedy but not funny. So many characters and mini plots and it really reminded me of a soap opera because of how abruptly cut off each character scene then when to another couple. There is like 4 couples in this book and well it's too over the top that I just couldn't take anymore.

Shame on You by Tara Sivec (3 stars) a Novella so a real quick read. I had problems with the heroine being prior military and having served over in the sandbox only to act like Stephanie Plum. Not believable that she forgot all that training. Parts of it cute and it's was a fun read. This is a romance though not a cozy like the Plum books.

Dirty Harriet by Miriam Auerbach (4 stars) This may be a Harlequin but it's not a romance at all it's a Cozy through and through. However I enjoyed it alot. The love Interest is introduced but it like only two brief scenes. This is one to read if you like a strong BA heroine and a good mystery.

Rapture in Death by J.D. Robb (3 stars) I guess you can say I'm hooked. Although the mystery can't be any more predictable than this one. Oh well on to the next one! Peabody is probably my favorite character in the series next to Roarke. Eve is growing on me.

Wow I had a big reading week last week and good thing too as spring has sprung and my eyes are so dry and itchy I can't read or look at anything. Anyone has any advice how to soothe them so I can read please let me know. Right now they feel constantly feverish from the time I wake up till I go to bed.
